What could this be.
2005 silverado brake pedal goes to floor.
I replaced the front pads rotors calipers and brake hoses the other day.
I can still stop.
At that point the brake pedal moves towards the floor.
When it goes to the floor it doesn t stop the vehicle.
Brakes feel real good until slowing to about 2 mph.
Brake pedal to floor.
Well i was told there was no leaking fluid so the brake master cylinder is bad.
Using a flashlight check the level of the fluid or just remove the lid of the reservoir and look inside.
Now disconnect the two real brake lines on the vehicle from the master cylinder and attach these two short stubs in their place.
The contact owns a 2005 chevrolet silverado.
I had this happend ealier that day but thought i was just crazy.
Just bought my 2003 silverado 2500hd 4x4.
The pedal felt kinda soft to me so i bled all 4 brakes and tried again.
Well check the brake lines for leakage after adding brake fluid to the full mark.
Still stops the truck but it is an uneasy feeling.
Do the brakes need bled.
Anytime you have a brake pedal that goes to the floor raise the hood and locate the brake master cylinder s reservoir.
The truck seems to have good stopping power otherwise but the pedal goes down farther than i think it should.
1 leak from brake line or brake caliper.
Sometimes when i go to brake the pedal will go half way down like it s suppose to then i feel a release of pressure and it goes to the floor.
They told me when they were checking the truck out the brake pedal went to the floor.
Kink over the cut ends and pinch them tight with visegrips or something similar ideally braze them shut.

Step 1 check the brake fluid level.
I looked all around the truck for leaks from brake fluid there is none and the brake resiviour sorry for the spelling is still full.
I took the truck on a 30 minute drive the other day and on the way back home my brake light came on and the pedal goes almost to the floor.
Technically there are two main causes that would make the brake pedal sink all the way to the floor.
The contact stated that while the brake pedal depressed he noticed that the brake pedal fell to the floor board.
The leak may coming from a brake line or one of the brake calipers on your vehicle.
If the fluid is full then continue onto brake fluid is full down further in this guide.
If the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor it s likely there is a leak somewhere after the master cylinder.
One of the reasons is the brake system loses pressure from an external brake fluid leak.
If the pedal gets hard after adding fluid and pumping it several times with the car off then the master cylinder is still ok.
Maybe it isn t a problem not sure.
The contact applied the emergency.
After about the third one i am told the pedal still goes to the floor after the 10 to 15th time the brake pedal is.
I bled the front brakes then took it for a ride.
So an interesting braking problem.
